Ok this is the best story ever.
Four days ago, I heard something outside of my window in the basement. I assumed it was some brother being stupid or throwing rocks or something, so I didn't really take any notice. The next morning while getting ready, I heard it again & I was seriously like what the actual freak. So I opened the window to enter a tirade with those hoodlums. "HEY-! CUT THAT OUT OR...ohmigosh it's so cute."
Lo and behold, there was a BABY BUNNY in my window well. A freaking bunny, sent from the angels above. I skipped the whole "singing to lure the woodland creatures" crap and just went to grab it. Huge mistake. I must've freaked him out because he leaped straight out of my window and into my bedroom and dashed behind the bookshelf. I had my mom come and hold it steady, I retrieved the bunny and basically right then and there obtained a new love.
I think I'm in love.
With a rabbit.
Anyway, that night we got bunny food, a water feeder & whatnot for Foo-Foo. We put him safe & securely (we thought ... [ah ha! This is foreshadowing, my dear readers.] ) in a tuperware box in the garage with chicken wire on the top to keep him in. The next morning, my precious little bushel of joy was MISSING.
"Mom??.....Where's ma bunny?" We searched and searched. I had to go to school at some point, so we retired our flashlights and crossed our fingers that Foo-Foo would turn up.
I was uuber depressed all day, but then I had a radical idea. When I got home, I went to my neighbor's house & asked I her retired police dog could help. It got a scent and actually directed us to where poor Bunny Foo-Foo was cowering in fear. Ah-Ha! You sneaky, sneaky bunny. We scooped him up and put him back in his cage. Securely, this time. Actually, at the moment he's in my mom's bathtub because it's too high for him to jump out.
This is awesome. He is basically a miracle bunny. I guess the moral of the story is
When God closes a door, it puts a bunny in your window.
peace out.
Hey, it happens
high school musical didn't prepare me for any of this.

it's all good.
Our first track meet went pretty well. Relatively speaking, I mean. The sun was shining, but that in no way guarantees that it will be warm.
I seriously underestimated how helpful thermal underwear would have been.
Like for cereal, we were freezing. And it didn't help that my event (the 3200 race) was the very last one. So we waited for 3 1/2 hours (ish) and by the time it was our turn to run, we could hardly feel our legs anymore.
The 3200 is basically a 2 mile race that drags on into the eternities. I've discovered that it's all in your mindset; in thinking to yourself that there really is no difference between your second lap and your eighth. You're going to want to die the whole way through, there's no question. But there's an adrenaline rush when you're racing, and no matter how badly you want to stop; you can't. Don't wanna look weak in front of 'dem boys!!
I was counting the laps in my head, and so were several of my teammates. So that's why I was beyond confused when I thought I was finished but the coach told me to keep going. "ARE YOU FOR CEREAL??!" Uhhg. So I went around, AGAIN. When I finished, the coach came up to me and offered his sincerest apologies for accidentally making me run 9 laps instead of 8. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr it's okay though, because I still did alright. 14:47 baby! Just kidding, that was better than alright. More like 2 whole minutes faster than last season;)
haha it's all good!

sexism
Although I wasn't planning on going to the night formal tomorrow, now I'm considering going because apparently the girls who are going don't have to attend track practice tomorrow. Hmm. Because girls need five hours to do their hair.

running probs.
So today in track we were assigned events after 3 or 4 weeks of the coaches watching us at practice. There are basically 3 catergories: Sprinters (the fast & areo-dynamic sort), Middle Distance (pretty speedy kids with high endurance), and then Long Distance (the kids with very little or no ability in any other event). Just my luck, guess which group I landed myself into? That's right. the 3200-ers.
-______- I would have at least been satisfied with having long jump, or even with being a mile-er. But nooo, apparently I have the POTENTIAL to build up high endurance and speed.

At least most of my friends are also doing my same event, so we can help pace each other.
The thing that bugs me about running cross country in the "farmland" of our town is that it stinks. So bad. I was complaining about it the other day to someone and said "breathing right is so hard with all of the freaking horse crap!" Just then, Coach Vincent jogs up behind us and says,
'THAT'S TOTALLY BULL CRAP!"
hahahaha at least we have the best coach, I guess.
Our first track meet is on next Thursday, so I hope that I can train hard & gain some speed, possibly even win a ribbon. I don't know, last season there were only two 9th grade girls on the team so I automatically won a first or second place ribbon at every meet even if I were to come dead last. This time there are like, 10 of us. Dang, this season will actually require me to put forth some effort. : /

venting.
This is so stupid. There is seriously always that one group of people that excludes you. That one girl that be-littles you. That single adult that sees everything and just ignores it. Why can't we all just get along regardless of who we are what we do? And honestly, if an adult is acting like a 14 year old girl, what do we have to look up to? Diddly squat. That's what.
I miss the days when we could all just be friends.

first attempt at being insta-famous
Today was pretty okay-ish. Besides the fact that my brain was still asleep until 3rd period. Why do we even do daylight savings anymore? It's not like we're needed back on the farm or anything. I think it's just another ecxuse for school and society to take over our sleeping schedule. But yeah, it was pretty cool. I made it through the entire school day without seriously maiming anyone with my gym bag (baby steps, here).
Anyone who knows me is very much aware that I am destined to marry Harry Styles, and I think my love for One Direction has rubbed off onto my five year old sister. Today she wrote a letter and asked me to give it to them at their concert this July..... and it read:
"One Direction is so cute. We could be freands. Love, alice"
hahaha yeah ok then.
Soooo my mom signed me up for this one day EFY thing on Friday and it sounds really fun although there is not a single soul on this planet that wants to go with me. :'( Why not?? There's a dance and pizza and cake and cool guest speakers like John Bytheway..... uhg. I feel so un-loved. I really ought to make more friends. Or possibly spend more time outside doing friendship-y things. Hmm.
